the ‘new’ world

the world is a miserable stage and all the dancers are miserable freaks.
d u knw whats the sign of growing up? wickedness. crooked minds.
always used to think that my peers, the kids tat we are, we can change the world, because we are pure at heart, if we were to just take over right nw before we learn all the muck “tat we need to survive in the world” from the grown ups, the world would be a better place……..

what is the world coming to? were innocence is perceived with disgust, tolerance equated to weakness, the corporate world demanding everyone to be rutheless in the ever growing rat race. where introverts have no space….
when a majority of all great minds were introverts.
this new world where deceit is accepted and is a requirement, manipulation of facts and concealment of truth are necessities and everyday is a struggle.
where kindness, generosity, sincerity and goodness of heart have fled, making the few innocent souls too as dead from hopelessness and lack of faith in the above mention qualities.
where introspection and retrospection die.

its always true that the evil accumalates with every generation because we havent been able to clear away the evil in any one generation completely, such that it will eventually be passed down into the next.

the era that this is- where the heart shall succumb to this new world’s maya, when all faith in goodness fails and courage slips away, i like to recite these lines, to be reminded of the truth, to have strength to distinguish right from wrong:

a verse from Tagore’s Gitanjali. . . .

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;

Where knowledge is free;

Where the world has not been broken up

into fragments by narrow domestic walls;

Where words come out from the depth of truth;

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;

Where the clear stream of reason

has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;

Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action–

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.”
